Research Development Manager

The Development Manager provides core research support to Faculty academic staff in the areas of research grant development, and is the team lead support for research committees, and internal grant scheme administration.

The role provides strategic advice and feedback on research grant development activities to the Dean, Associate Dean Research and the senior executives, as required, and leads the ARBDO staff in the provision of high level research support to schools.

The role is the lead contact for ARC and other Category 1 grant opportunities. This involves:

  • high level support and strategic advice on drafting and costing of grants listed on the Australian Competitive Grants Registry (ARC, NHMRC and other government and non-government funded grants)
  • high level support and advice on building research teams for category 1 grant applications
  • strategic advice and support on working with external partners and building collaborations for the ARC Linkage Scheme and NHMRC partnerships grants
  • leading the team in the support of the Category 1 grant development process.
